So it turns out life is a tad busier with two little chirping birds around. Busy, but good. There are about a hundred things I keep meaning to do, and then before I know it the day is gone...
I still want to document all about the day our little guy was born, but for now...here he is 2 weeks old!
He is a sweet sweet soul. He loves to be held, is an outstanding nurser (had not only rebounded to his birth weight by ten days old...but had nearly gained 3/4 lb!), and fairly calm and quiet most of the time. Avery LOVES to help take care of him and wants to kiss and cuddle him all the time...which he is a fairly good sport about.
As for me...I have never felt such a spectrum of emotions all at once. Totally content and completely drained. Happy and a little blue. Peaceful and calm...happy to hide away with my babies and also itching to get out and do something. Ah hormones.
Ahhh yes....those lovely hormones! Your babies are so beautiful, congratulations! How old is your daughter...2 or 3ish? Just wondering how close she is to my little one. Not sure if I am ready to add another yet!

Yes, those hormones throw you for a loop, a drop, a rocket-shoot, and everything else, but it sounds like you're handling it with grace and beauty. Smell that beautiful baby smell for me, would ya?
ReplyDeleteCongrats Danielle! It took me about 3 months to get in the swing of things with two kids. Just try and do what you can and don't worry if you get behind on things. LOVE the pictures, keep them up!!!!

Such a great picture of the two of them, its beautiful. I have a five year old and a three year old and they are thick as theives together and I love looking at the pictures of them together when they were tiny. So take tons and tons of photos, years fly bye. And congrats, they are both sooo freaking cute. And what a great name! love it!
