Project Run And Play Week 3

Well it's Friday and that means a new look for Project Run & Play! This week was sewing through the decades and I am super excited to see what everyone did. I am hoping to squeak by this week because I have a feeling the competition is going to be fierce!

Vote here for your favorite!

I think Avery looks pretty sweet in her 40's inspired look.

For my look this week I sort of re-did a sun-suit romper that I had designed last Spring for Once Upon a Thread. I just love a romper and I guess I haven't gotten it out of my system. Since the rules for the competition are that we can start from a pattern as long as we redesign it I felt OK about this, especially since the pattern I was starting from was one that I completely designed in the first place. Plus it gave me a chance to work out a few of the kinks from the last time I did it. I added a removable linen collar and snaps at the crotch to make potty trips easier for a 3 year old. Plus I did a few fit adjustments.

I think the back is my favorite part. I love the stripe and how it opens a bit to vent.

This look is sweet and simple.

More close-ups later. My computer is being crazy as I have managed to fill up the hard drive with photos. My children are sick, and I am worn out! Tired but happy to share this little outfit with you.

Thanks for playing along!

  1. I love this look so much (I adore the simplicity of it, I get so tired of feeling like the only things that can catch people's eyes are the bright sparkly ones)

Not to mention how many time's I walked past your fabric choice over and over again at the fabric store this summer, and then finally broke down a few weeks ago and bought some (with no project in mind) because I couldn't stop being attracted to it's timeless feel!

  2. Aw, this is super sweet and beautiful. I love it. I also love how you made a beach set up indoors - it actually took me awhile to realize it because it was so convincing. Nice to see indoor photo options in this weather :) Good luck!!

  11. Bummed you didn't win this round.
Not a huge fan of the winning choice. I like yours FAR better...but for some odd reason my opinion doesn't trump everyone elses?! How silly.
