Help?

So for Christmas we are making Avery a little playhouse in the basement. We've got a little pink kitchen, a tiny table, my old baby cradle, fake food, dishes pots and pans, and a few other things. I am beyond excited about it! Possibly more excited than she will be? Mostly because I have an excuse now to use this darling fabric (Anna Maria Horner...you've done it to me again! I am swooning with the possibilities of her new line!)...I am thinking tablecloth, baby quilt, tiny apron, oven mitts...the works! So here is where I need your help. I want to mount a little window above the sink (to put curtains on of course!) and thought I could find an old salvaged one...you know a wood framed paned kind? I had just the place in Omaha to find such treasures but have no idea where to find one in Salt Lake. Anybody know where I can get something like that around here?

  1. What size are you looking for? I might have one I can give you. I have 4 old windows that I hung on the walls at my old place and they are in the garage now. If mine are too big, there is an antique store on 21st south. That's I bought them a few years ago. There is also a new antique store that just opened on the west side of I-15 between your exit and mine. Looks like you need to come over!

  2. You don't know me, but I've read your blog since I was on bedrest for preeclampsia - and you got induced for that (I think) and love the creative ideas. Oh, and that our babies are almost the same age helps too. But, hopefully it isn't too creepy that I comment. But, there is a Restore - Habitat for Humanity store that is in Orem, about 350 South Orem Blvd. It has a store inside and has all sorts of cheap things like this that might be great. Good luck!
