One of the reasons I am excited about participating in Project Run and Play (its really happening! they introduced me today as one of the designers so there is no backing out now;)) is that is forces me to finally unpack and organize my little craftroom space. With many many things on the house project to do list, it has been kind of near the bottom priority wise.
But it just does something good for my soul to know all my little things are finally being put away and that I'll have a shag-carpeted spot in the depths of the basement to get lost in when I need an escape.
See those bins? Inside I've collected all the supplies for my first few projects-- my attempt at organization. I can't wait to show you what's inside!
These little hoodlums are getting into all kinds of mischief while I am stealing some sewing minutes...and I am just letting them and facing the consequential messes later. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. PBS kids anyone?
(PS. Are you sick of my instagram photos yet? Sorry its just so easy, and I am too lazy to download actual photos...so you are probably going to be seeing a lot more of them)
and PPS. nobody has left a comment on my intro at Project Run and Play and it's making me self conscious. Yep I'll admit it. Was the My Little Pony (duh ponies, not pony's) thing too much? What if nobody votes for meeeeeee??
OK I'm done;)
Okay several things. 1st: that room looks amazing! So organized! You've been busy! 2nd: I'm finding that using instagram photos is WAY easier and faster then regular pictures... so I say use them! 3rd: I've been leaning heavily on PBS kids as well and I'm not doing anything nearly as intense as you... unless laundry and reading a book count! 4th: I need to add that run and play blog to my reader so I remember to check it during the competition... I didn't even know they had introduced you! Which I went and read, and LOVED!
ReplyDeleteSo good luck friend! You've got my vote!
I commented! And I want to see in those bins!!
ReplyDeleteActually, I'd never seen your blog before, but when I saw your intro on PR&P, I thought you looked just like someone I'd like to read. Loved your voice in your intro, and it sounds like we sew for very similar reasons. Everyone needs some sparkle. :) I'm excited to see your projects and follow along. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI second Jessie's comment - added your blog to my reader once I saw the introduction! Cant wait to see what you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteI commented this morning. Somehow I didn't publish it. Looks like this is becoming a pattern...

I am so exited to see what is in those bins! And thinking maybe I need some bins :D My fabric for sewing projects in tossed in boxes and big grocery bags and all my fake flowers for hair clips etc. are everywhere...all in one big bedroom I share with the hubby, the 5 year old and the 7 month old (and a rambunctious boxer puppy and a cat)
