("Sewing Hair" aka, I haven't showered properly in a few days hair...the instagram filter makes it look less greasy than it actually was, but it was greasy. And I ran to the fabric store looking that way. And I will likely do it again this week so if you happen to see me at JoAnnes in my sweatpants and this hair, do not be alarmed... I am just busy sewing. All is as it should be.)
I honestly cannot believe it, but I won again at Project Run and Play this time for my little boy's outfit. And I am not trying to just be humble here...I am sincerely a little shocked. I thought every single one of the other outfits were just darling and well made, so it is quite a big honor to have won. Really all, thanks so much for your support and all the sweet things you say. Your comments just make my day!
I am excited to have made it one more week and to get to show you what I am working on for the next challenge. That will have to wait till Friday, but since I won I will be over at Project Run and Play on Wednesday to share a few things about how I made my boy outfit. Hopefully you're not getting sick of me.
And I forgot to mention it here, but I posted a tutorial on how to make the scallops for the "Every Color in the Box Dress" over there last Wednesday if you are interested.
OK, well I'm back to it. You will be glad to know that I have bathed properly today so I'm already ahead of the game. Onward and upward!
congratulations! a well deserved second win. Your post reminds me of a recent 'pretty hair blabla post' on a cup of jo.
ReplyDeletedry shampoo? unlike the blog post makes you believe it might not be just for tourists, magazine editors and stylists but also for indefatigable seamstresses.
yeah, dry shampoo all the way. although too much looks like you're wearing a powdered wig. i know because i get sewing hair without even sewing. now, put your chambray shirt on again with the jewelry i got you and go show jo-ann's what you workin with. oh and WAY TO GO!!! you're awesome.
ReplyDeleteYeaaaah, how many times have I been to Joann's looking like a mess because my kids never let me shower? Lol. Now I just put on a hat that I knitted and act like its a fashion statement. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWould love to hear more about how you made the shawl collar if you feel so inclined. I love how it turned out and it's a nice alternative to a typical ribbed t-shirt collar.
ReplyDeletecongratulations!! What a great job and well deserved winning. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that you put that picture up. Can you see why I'm always surprised when I see your bangs? Now you see them, now you don't!
ReplyDelete(I, too, have been saved by dry shampoo more than once.)
congrats again, girl! loved your boy look. :) i'm personally a fan of the elastic soccer-girl headband and a bun when the going gets rough and the showers are scarce. happy sewing!
ReplyDeletecongrats on your 2 wins! i've been following closely on project run and play and you've totally deserved to win both times. you are so talented! i hope you are doing well. We miss you in draper!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha...I've had a few of those days too! Thank God for dry shampoo! I recently bought the tressemme stuff that is a foam, it works better than the powdered sprays.
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited to hear about how you made your boys outfit. I want to make one for my little guy. :)
I can't wait for Friday! Tell me you didn't choose the 1970s. We all saw the 1970s inspired menswear disaster of PR season 9! Although, since everything you do is magic, you could probably pull it off :)
ReplyDeleteYEEHAW! Be extra, extra proud of that win. I am of you!!!

Congratulations! Also, I like your glasses. ;-)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Danielle! haha, the things I wear to the fabric store....I never knew about dry shampoo, I am TOTALLY checking that out!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the tutorial on the shawl cover! I love the sweater. It's so cute, I can just see my little man wearing it.

ReplyDeleteSerious injuries can result to small dogs Why is this? Very simple, until that rich man learns and understands his wealth and is sharing it with his fellow man and not just giving it away for the sake of giving it (perhaps as a tax write off) that peace will never be found Check with your local universities to learn of lectures in the Comparative Religions, Anthropology, and African Studies Departments Be proud of your services and have confidence that you have something to offer people that they need and want
