You guys-- I got eyelash extensions.
And they are changing my life.
Its amazing, but it's like these long luxurious lashes give me super powers or something. My eyes-- which were looking perpetually tired (because they are!), now greet me first thing in the morning looking primped and refreshed.
And somehow that makes me feel refreshed. Energized even. And ready to face the day.
I've got a bounce in my step, a tune in my head, and load of laundry in the machine.
I'm pretty sure I can conquer the world now.
Or at the very least, finish all my laundry.
What makes you feel super?
I just love you for getting these. I would never even think about doing something like that, but it makes total sense. OF COURSE super eyelashes would give you super powers. I need to look into something similar... boob job? hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteHaha! Totally;)
Deletehaha, glad you're warming up to them! you're a babe!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ness ;)
DeleteYou look like a movie star! I want some!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katy! Its fun to mix things up. They take quite awhile to get put on so the biggest problem might be finding a few spare hours!
Deletefor me, matching bras and underpants, and pedicures make me feel like a million bucks! As long as I know my bra is the same as my bottoms, I feel like I am more put together and ready for the day, and I just feel naked without great toes.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about the eyelash thing too, but we live in Korea with the Military, and I am too afraid of some of the sanitation issues to try it! (Koreans don't tend to sanitize their tools like American beauty shops do, I'd hate to get a horrible eye infection in the name of beauty!)
Oh my...No I wouldn't ever get them if you question the sanitation.
DeleteIsn't it funny how something most people won't eve see can make such a difference in how you feel? I totally get it.
What kind are they? How long do they last? The extensions here last around 4 weeks but they look AWFUL when they're coming off, wonky eyed and mad. Apparently they HURT too!!
ReplyDeleteI don't really know what kind they are. They are just individual lashes that are glued to your own lashes one by one. I think they can look crazy while coming out, especially if they come out in clumps or if you have very thin lashes to start. We'll see. You are supposed to get them filled every 3 weeks or so, but I don't know if I'll keep them up. Still fun to try for a bit!
Deleteoh yeah you look gorgeous in these! keep 'em! i love using a really nice eye cream at night (kiehl's free samples, usually); i look wide awake even if i feel like i'm about to crash any second!
ReplyDeletegostei do seu blog, especialmente da matrioska de felt!BJOS...i am from brasil...
ReplyDeleteSomeone must have fell in love with her MIL's!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh pretty! If I could afford Botox that's what I'd do. I recently found out three of my good friends have been doing it for over five years. I had no idea! They all love it. I just got nail gels last week. That made me feel good. My nails are naturally strong and grow pretty long and even but with three kids I could never keep color on them without chips in a day. It's been five days and it looks like I just left the salon!
ReplyDeleteYou can now conquer the world Danielle, because you had the most gorgeous eyelashes among the women who did the laundry at that time. :P I guess, that just proves that fake eyelashes add an extraordinary feminine appeal to one's eyes.
